Trials of a fashion designer.

If you are thinking about going to fashion design school there are lots of things you should consider. My name is Lance I have a BFA in fashion design. I chose the path of self employed which is a blessing and a curse in a world birthing over 10,000 designers a year.

Though its taking a lot longer than I have expected The journey to Becoming a Famous Fashion Designer is no easy task. It will take a lot of determination and more than just creative imagination. A good thing to know is your textiles and how it functions in your mind.

That way it will save you some time trying to figure out what will work on the body. If you you want to work in the Industry however it may be a very rewarding career path for you. There are more than just "fashion designer" positions you will get from getting a Fashion Education. But Keep in mind that going to Fashion School like I did is NOT cheap.

Today I realized that no matter hoe broke I am I am full of riches in imagination.

My Masters-

A lot of people have asked me after viewing the craftsmanship of my garments so today I will tell you the Story of my school where I learned the sacred art of draping and pattern drafting.

The International Academy of Design & Technology Seattle is where I studied for my Bachelors of Fine Arts in fashion design.

I loved all of my instructors who patiently taught me the arts.

Though the courses were vigorous and intense it helped shape me into the Designer I am to this day.

So if your interested in design school in the NW I suggest you give them a call.

The classes had industry standard techniques and software also offering the technical aspects of the business as well.

During this time I got to Internship with a Master of Furs Carole McClellan.

Upon gradtuation I was assistant designer for Nilartey De Osu of Neodandi - House of Couture.

Dear Readers, For years I was told I would never make it as an artist, especially as a male fashion designer. My mother told me I would for ever starve. But thanks to the internet the artist can change his/her fate. Ultimately it is up to you to decide if you have a valued product. No matter what it is someone is interested but its hard to reach them if u live on the other side of the world. So why not open a online business today? Its easy and the investment is cheaper than paying rent for a space. And get exposed all over the world. All you really need is patcience, a domain name, and a small investment for your site. We have already reached a point in our times that there really is nothing left on earth to discover externally, but there is a vast space inside our beings for all of us to discover.

Working on this new jacket 3/4 cut length a name is yet to be given to this piece of Perfektion.

Yet for all seekers do not find the right fitting garments until they have found the underground.

Summer Solstice Collection

 My heart shattered into a thousand pieces when the thread broke that held the ties between fashion and mainstream. What have we woven into society that has confused the minds of the youth, to think that they are twins from separate mothers.

 What happened to the times when fashion was not a uniform but a sense of expression of the self?

 I reflect back through the looking glass sifting through each of my reflections to find the styles that

I thought too, may have been lost forever.

 Then there I be amongst all other reflections that had looked through the same glass, and we then remembered when we once were individuals. and that we had style that was not cookie cutter fashion, but raw, cutting edge, & so inspirational.

 It could be seen on the walls, in our clothes, and our hair accompanied by a dance or a name each of our character famous in its own light.

 These times seem to have died long ago, the then all of these reflections of the looking glass reminded me that history repeats itself, and that time is coming.

 We here at the Perfekt Tension labs are evolving rapidly to meet this shift in the Era of Fashion that is rising up out of the looking glass.

Thoughts

Many years have passed and yet my style continues to evolve.

But at times I feel that time stands still and so does my imagination.

So do we step backwards at the fork in the road? Or do we journey to right which has no left? Or do we journey to the left which has no right?

No matter which path you take you will have to make decisions

but that could be a good sign to chose the path that looks most clear.

Transferring lines from Fabric to Paper

The foundation is set, transferring patterns to paper...

This is one of the most exciting times for me as far as design goes...

watching simple lines evolve into something more complex.

This mission is one size fits most.

Owl Conspiracy

Pieces collide forming something out of nothing and when do we truly ever get a break?
as an artists lives a full time job as a "life" to try and make a living in a world of simplicity that has lost the urge of owning art.

Although, in our waking times we find that art is making a strong comeback, as the youth come to fill elder shoes. yet we are here to set the Perfekt Tension in motion as we strive not to follow into the fashion footsteps that they have laid before us.

We at the Perfekt Tension Laboratory are the hermetic fabric masons laying the foundation of new beginnings, A new Style that was thought to be "long Lost" but what can be lost that has not yet been discovered?

Sophisticated looks that intrigue the intellect, and bringing people together through the arts have always been a marvel to the seeker...
 In our times through out the generations the Mystery has unfolded and now we seek the symbols on the streets and now through our clothing of street fashion cults.

these next jackets are looking great! we here at the studio are looking forward to what kind of response we are going to receive this weekend.

More about the jacket, they are denim, great for spring/summer months, or even in the winter if you were indoors.

a twist of Asymmetrical line but Haute enough to be classified edgy.

inspired by discussions of apocalypse to the "end times" fused with world of warcraft and steam punk daymares...but in a marketable sense. 

I love this song at times it reminds me of the industry, because we work so hard to make new styles its hard to keep up but not if you are ahead of the game.
