First, Getting Rid of Insecure Gestures

One of the biggest mistakes you can make when making a non-verbal communication with another person is to appear insecure to them. Unfortunately, it is incredibly easy to come off this way if you don’t know which gestures and actions to avoid. To get an idea of what may be making you appear more insecure than you actually are, start by paying attention to the body language of other men and see what you can tell about their personality right away. You’ll easily be able to see that fidgeting, slumped postures, and sad or worried expressions immediately make the individual look insecure and not very confident at all. In order to use your body-language to you advantage when meeting women, it is important to avoid behaviors and gestures such as those.


Second, Take up Some Space

Another important thing to notice about body language is how the way some men sit. It may sound strange, but this is important, as a man who takes up more space than the average person is demonstrating his confidence by not giving up his space to accommodate others. This also shows how dominant a man may be, which to many women can be very attractive.

These men also tend to have slower, more decisive movements, making them appear surer of themselves. In order to “train” yourself into exuding a more confident demeanor, you should work on mimicking these men’s’ body language and body characteristics.


Third, Entering Her Space

Above all non-verbal communication techniques, one of the most important is to not be afraid to enter a women’s personal space, especially while verbally communicating. However, it is important to know that this does not mean you can enter her space in a hostile or pushy way; the goal is to demonstrate that you are comfortable with her and want her to feel the same. Once you both feel comfortable being a bit closer together, it is a good idea to move on to a light tough on the hand or shoulder – you’d be amazed at how such a small, flirty gesture can mean to a woman. Of course, personal touches like this can be a little uncomfortable at first, so try touching personal items of hers, such as a cell phone or piece of jewelry, first.

Finally, the most important thing to do is to get out in public and practice these tips – remember, practice makes perfect, especially in cases like this. After a while, you will find that your confidence has gone up, and soon you’ll be meeting women everywhere you go.
